What’s in this episode?
I filmed this 3 minute video in a very rare place (hope you watch it) — a brand new movie theater in Burlington, Vermont, called Partizan Film.
This is extraordinary, because new theaters just aren’t opening these days. In fact, since COVID, America has lost over 5,000 movie screens. So for a brand new independent theater to open — especially one like this — is something worth stopping and marking.
And it also happens to be a pretty great place for me to make an important announcement. We’ve made our first casting choice for A Still, Small Paw.
We reached out to the actor, and the response came back quickly — a clear thumbs up. Yes. He’s doing it. That actor is Michael Patrick McGill.
Michael is someone you might recognize from the series Shameless. He was also in our short film Not Losing You, and I think it’s fair to say he absolutely killed it in that. Truly.
Michael is an underappreciated and undervalued film artist — an actor with real depth — and I believe he’s going to be phenomenal in this lead role in A Still, Small Paw. I couldn’t be more excited to be working with him again.
THANK YOU!
I also just want to take a moment to thank you — genuinely — for your support this year.
It’s been an incredible year: we got a lot accomplished, and none of it would have happened without your help.
Next year is going to be even awesomer. And I really hope you’ll stick with us. As always, please like, subscribe, and if you’re able, consider becoming a backer. You can find us at AngryGayGrandpa.com, and also at AStillSmallPaw.com, or on GoFundMe. And we’ll see you next week. I’m hoping to have another open letter ready — this time to one of the most successful independent film producers of all time.
Until then, be safe, be smart, and I’ll see you next week.
